Parliament

The Parliament is one of the most fabulous buildings on the bank of the Danube and is the most beloved landmark on the postcards, books and videos about Budapest and Hungary. The Gothic revival style building was finished in 1904 and was built by the plans of Imre Steindl. The Parliament is located on the Kossuth Lajos square, which is accessible by subway M2 line, bus 78 and tram number 2.

Buda Castle

The Buda Castle is located on the Buda side of the city, on the Castle Hill, which is accessible by the castle bus and bus number 16. Heroes' Square

Heroes Square, one of the most beautiful squares in Middle Europe, is the gate between the inner city of Budapest and City Park. Our hotel is located at the square and is facing the Arts Hall and the Museum of Fine Arts, which hosted already exhibitions from painters like Picasso, Miró and Van Gogh. You can find statues of the most important persons in the Hungarian history in a half circle and the 7 leaders of the tribes, who settled down on the early Hungarian territory and established the Hungarian state, in the middle of the square.

Hungarian State Opera House

The building of the Hungarian State Opera House is situated in the heart of Budapest, at the UNESCO World Heritage-member Andrássy Street. It is kept count with its rich decoration, paintings and sculptures as one of the most wonderful opera houses of the whole world.

Fishermen's Bastion

The neo Romanesque Fishermen's Bastion was built in 1905 mainly for decorative purposes and is the pearl of the panorama of the Buda castle. It is located next to Holy Trinity square and Matthias church. From a couple of years ago a small fee is collected from the visitors of the bastion that provides an amazing view on the Pest side with the Parliament and Roosevelt square.

Holy Trinity Square

The Holy Trinity Square is the most beautiful square of the Castle District surrounded by the Fishermen's Bastion and the Matthias church. The statue in the middle of the square was built in 1710 to remind us of two plague outbreaks in the history of Hungary.

City Park and Vajdahunyad castle

City Park is one of the biggest public parks of Hungary and is easily accessible with the M1 subway line. You can find the zoo, the circus, the funfair and the Széchenyi spa in the park , which ensures that there is something for everyone. The best way to explore the park is by renting a pedal car or bicycle. You can also find the Vajdahunyad Castle in the park, which is built in 3 completely different architectural styles, which guarantees unique experience for every visitor.

The Great Synagogue

The building in the Dohány street, which is in the 7^th district of Budapest, hosts the Hungarian Jewish Museum and is at the same time the biggest synagogue of Budapest and Hungary.The Synagogue was built in Byzantine-Oriental style and was influenced by the Moslem arts. The Synagogue is within walking distance of our hotel and is located next to the Astoria.
