Museum Of Fine Arts
The Museum of Fine Arts is located at Heroes square and is easily accessible with the subway M1. The museum has a lot of permanent exhibitions, like the Egyptian exhibition, the Antique collection, the antique sculpture collection, the modern collection and a lot more. The other part of the museum consists of temporary exhibitions of world famous artists, like Picasso, Miró and Van Gogh.
Museum of Applied Arts
A beautiful Art Noveau-style palace gives home for the Museum of Applied Arts. The collection covers European masterpieces from the Middle Ages until now. Contamporary exhibitions are e.g. the Treasures of the Esterházy Princes and the Tiffany and Gallé-Art Nouveau Glass exhibition.
Palace of Miracles
The Palace of Miracles is an interactive exhibition in the House of Future Centre, that is opened in the whole year. The games of the exhibition help you to understand the miracles of science and of the nature, on a very enjoyable way, because you can try all the exhibited objects. You can explore e.g. how to use a monocycle without falling down and what is the secret of the fakirs, why doesn't it hurt them to lay down on a bed, full with nails etc. The Palace of Miracles is not only for children, but also for adults a good experience and guarantees an enjoyable day in Budapest.
Hungarian National Museum
The museum is located on the Museum road, which is going from Astoria to Liberty Bridge. The National Museum hosts over 9 permanent exhibitions about the history from Hungary starting from the Stone Age until the middle of the 90's. You can visit the exhibitions every day except Monday from 10 am till 6 pm.
Budapest History Museum
The Budapest History Museum consists of 3 parts. The Budapest History Museum, which is located in the Royal Palace, the Kiscelli Art Gallery, which is located in the 3rd district of Budapest and the ancient roman city in Aquincum, which is also in the 3rd district. Statue Park
The Statute Park is very close to Budapest and shows its visitors the gigantic monuments, built in the time of the communist regime. The statues were removed from the streets of Budapest in the beginning of the 90's and can be seen in the open air museum since 1993. The museum is open from 10:00 till dawn.
